Day 1 – Casablanca
Arrive at any time in the business capital of Morocco. Visit on your own the great Hassan II Mosque or go shopping in the old medina. Transfer from the airport to the hotel and meeting with your guide to discuss the trip!
Day 2 – Rabat
Start your tour today driving from Casablanca to the imperial city of Rabat, the current capital. Visit Kasbah des Oudayas, the beautiful Chellah and the Tour de Hassan.
Day 3 –Fes
Drive from Rabat to Meknes and Volubilis today. Visit the imperial city of Meknes and the mausoleum of Moulay Idris, then continue to Volubilis to see the beautiful mosaics and landscape. Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon.
Day 4 –Fes
Today you will explore the ancient-old medina of Fes! Your guide will take you on a city tour around the old medina, through its windy little streets and leather tanneries, the Quranic school and Al Qarawiyyin mosque.
Day 5 –Merzouga
Leave the imperial city of Fes behind for the Sahara desert! Today you will drive via the Middle Atlas mountains and Ziz valley to the gate of the Sahara, the Erg Chebbi dunes. Overnight in a kasbah hotel at the edge of the Sahara.
Day 6 –Merzouga
Today you will have some free time to relax by the swimming pool, or explore desert life in the small village of Merzouga. Visit a Gnaoua family to hear their southern vibes, to see and hear Gnaoua music being performed is a unique experience! Hop on the camels in the afternoon for a camel ride and overnight in the desert dunes.
Day 7 –Todgha Gorges / Boumalne Dades
Leave the Sahara for Tinghir. Be amazed by the spectacular steep canyon and red walls of Todgha Gorges, and walk through an oasis with farmlands in the valley of the gorges. If you choose for the comfort upgrade, you will stay the night in Boumalne Dades, while visiting the gorges of Todgha during the day.
Day 8 - Ait ben Haddou
Today we travel along the Dades Valley via Ouarzazate to Ait ben Haddou, where you will have a guided visit of the kasbah village in the afternoon. Enjoy an optional cooking class in the evening, where you will learn the skills of real Moroccan cuisine!
Day 9 - Aremd
From Ait ben Haddou, we head for the High Atlas Mountains and stop at Imlil. This little village at the foot of Mount Toubkal makes a great point of departure for our walk. We will climb shortly towards the village of Aremd, a little bit more up-hill, where we will stay at a mountain gîte, including a home-cooked dinner.
Day 10 – Essaouira
We drive from the mountains to the Atlantic coast, to the port town of Essaouira. This charming little town has a relaxed vibe and interesting history that will steal your heart! You will have an orientation walk in Essaouira and free time for exploration.
Day 11 – Essaouira
Essaouira is a great town to relax, go to the beach, have a surfing lesson, ride a quad, or go to a traditional Moroccan hammam. Essaouira is also great for fresh seafood and has the best restaurants, including little bars where the tunes of reggae and sub-Saharan Africa find there way to your table. So enjoy your free day here and make the most out of your trip!
Day 12 – Marrakech
From Essaouira, we head back to Marrakech, where you will have a guided walk in the old medina in the afternoon. In the evening, visit the famous Djemaa el Fna square, where storytellers and acrobats do their work.
Day 13 –Marrakech
The second day is a free day in Marrakech, there is enough to see! Go for example to Medresa Ben Youssef and visit the Saadian Tombs and Bahia Palace.
Day 14 –Marrakech
Departure day! Your guide and driver will bring you to the airport to say goodbye!
