Overview
Ait Bouguemez Valley, nestled in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, lies approximately 182km northeast of Marrakech. Characterized by its majestic peaks, the region boasts predominantly mountainous terrain. Within this picturesque landscape are authentic Berber villages, the towering Mgoun peak reaching 4068m, the captivating Ouzoud waterfalls, and the striking red valleys of Ait Bou Oulli, alongside the unique rock formations of Imi N Ifri.
Embark on a 2-day journey from Marrakech to Ait Bouguemez and delve into the grandeur of its mountains and the diversity of its valleys, where the Mgoun Geopark is situated. Here, one can still witness the unspoiled natural beauty of the Atlas Mountains and experience the traditional lifestyle of the Amazigh people, also known as Berbers.

The second day of the journey to Ait Bouguemez is dedicated to exploring the valley with your driver/guide. We begin with a hike to Sidi Moussa Granary, offering a bird's-eye view of the valley below. Later, we venture to a different village to examine the Dinosaur footprint.
Following our morning exploration, we embark on a different route, traversing the red valley of Ait Boulli. Here, you'll experience the exotic landscape of the Atlas mountains seamlessly blending with the Berber villages, creating a harmonious setting. Our journey continues towards Imi N Ifri, where we pause to explore the stunning rock formation with a stroll down to the river bottom. We conclude our adventure in Marrakech by the early evening.
