Your journey begins with a private departure from Marrakech, heading toward the majestic Middle Atlas. Our first stop is the natural wonder of Imi n’Ifri, a spectacular limestone natural bridge within the M’Goun UNESCO Global Geopark. Descend to the riverbed to witness the impressive stalactites and the sheer scale of this geological cathedral.
The route continues through the historic town of Demnate, ascending into the heart of the High Atlas. Traverse the striking Aït Bouli Valley, famous for its "Red Cliffs" and ancient terrace agriculture, where traditional Berber life remains unchanged for centuries. As the afternoon unfolds, we arrive in the Aït Bougmez Valley (The Happy Valley), a lush oasis of emerald fields nestled beneath soaring 4,000-meter peaks. Spend the night in a traditional guesthouse, surrounded by the absolute serenity of the M’Goun Geopark.
Awaken to the crisp mountain air and embark on a morning hike to the Sidi Moussa Granary, a fortified circular storehouse offering 360-degree panoramic vistas of the valley. Discover the region's prehistoric past at a nearby site featuring perfectly preserved dinosaur footprints, a highlight of the Geopark’s paleontological heritage.
Leaving the "Happy Valley," we descend through the provincial capital of Azilal, heading toward the world-renowned Ouzoud Waterfalls. As North Africa’s highest cascades, Ouzoud offers a thunderous finale to your expedition. Explore the shaded olive groves, meet the resident Barbary macaques, and enjoy the cooling mist of the 110-meter falls before a relaxing drive back to Marrakech, arriving by early evening.
