Discover the three valleys of Oukaimden, Ourika and Asni on a day tour from Marrakech
We will depart from Marrakech at 8:30 AM and head out to to the famous Ourika Valley, with its incredible beauty. The views are fabulous, and you will get a glimpse of the lifestyles of inhabitants of the region by enjoying a glass of tea in a private Berber home. Upon arrival to Ourika you may choose to hike a trail that meanders past the famous waterfalls of Setti Fatma. Lunch will be served in a restaurant by the riverside.
Continuation to the valley of Asni-Tahanaout and surrounding valleys, where we will enjoy a splendid view of the High Atlas Mountains and the rocky desert, and take the route to Kik Plateau before we head back to Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Departure from the Red City to Ourika Valley
8:30 AMYour expedition begins with a private pickup from your Marrakech accommodation, leaving the city heat behind for the fresh climes of the High Atlas foothills. Your first destination is the lush Ourika Valley, a vibrant green sanctuary of terraced fields and ancient walnut groves. Along the way, you will be welcomed into an authentic Berber home. Experience the legendary hospitality of the Amazigh people over a glass of traditional mint tea and homemade bread, gaining a firsthand introduction to the resilient mountain way of life.
Guided Walk to Setti Fatma Waterfalls
Upon arriving at the picturesque village of Setti Fatma the "end of the road" embark on a guided hike to the seven waterfalls. As you navigate the rocky trails and small wooden bridges, enjoy the cooling mountain mist and spectacular panoramic views of the valley floor below. This trek offers countless photography opportunities, capturing the raw beauty of the rushing river against the backdrop of the soaring Atlas peaks.
Riverside Lunch in Ourika
Reward your morning trek with a traditional Moroccan lunch served at a riverside restaurant. Experience the unique charm of dining with your feet practically in the water, savoring slow-cooked tagines and seasonal salads while surrounded by the tranquil sounds of the Ourika River.
Drive to Asni & the Tahanaout Valley
Continue your journey along winding mountain roads toward the Tahanaout Valley. This leg of the trip showcases the region’s unique geography, passing through red-clay villages and fertile fruit orchards of apples, cherries, and almonds. As we descend into the Asni Valley, located at the foot of Mount Toubkal (the highest peak in North Africa), you will learn about the ancient Berber agricultural techniques that have sustained these communities for centuries.
Kik Plateau & Oukaimden Panoramas
Ascend the spectacular Kik Plateau, a dramatic limestone highland that offers some of the most sweeping High Atlas panoramas in Morocco. From this 1,800-meter vantage point, admire the vast 360-degree views of the Lalla Takerkoust Lake and the snow-capped summits of the Oukaimeden range. We will make several photo stops to take in the silence and scale of this high-altitude landscape.
Return to Marrakech
After a day of immersive cultural discovery and natural wonder, relax on the scenic descent back to the plains. You will arrive at your hotel or Riad around 5:30 PM, enriched by the authentic charm and diverse landscapes of the Three Valleys..
