A day trip to Imlil Valley to Discover its Beauty
You will take a guided trek through Berber villages and enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. Imlil, situated in the heart of the Mizane Valley, is the most popular trailhead in Morocco. It is about a 1.5-hour drive from Marrakech to Imlil, the main starting point for treks. On the way, we will pass through the valleys of Tahnaoute and Asni. In Imlil, we will take a 2 to 3-hour walk through the villages and visit the beautiful Toubkal Kasbah in the valley. It is also possible to ride mules around the Berber villages and enjoy the stunning views.

Pickup From Marrakech & Drive to the Atlas Mountains
Your day begins at 8:00 AM with a pickup from your Marrakech accommodation. As you leave the city behind, your private driver takes you through the scenic valleys of Tahnaoute and Asni before the road climbs toward the High Atlas Mountains.
Arrival in Imlil & Introduction to the Valley
After a 1.5-hour drive, arrive in Imlil, a peaceful village nestled in the Mizane Valley and known as the gateway to Mount Toubkal. Meet your mountain guide, who will introduce you to the area and prepare you for your trek.
Guided Walk Through Berber Villages
Begin your 2–3 hour guided walk through traditional Berber villages, stone houses, walnut groves, and terraced farmlands. Learn about local culture and mountain life while enjoying stunning views throughout the valley.
Visit to Kasbah du Toubkal
Stop at the iconic Kasbah du Toubkal, one of the most picturesque viewpoints in the region. Enjoy time to explore, take photos, and experience the serenity of the surrounding peaks.
Optional Mule Ride
If you prefer a more relaxing pace, you may choose to explore the valley on a mule ride—perfect for families or those who want a more leisurely experience.
Lunch in a Berber Home
Midday, enjoy a freshly prepared Moroccan lunch in a local Berber home. Savor traditional dishes such as salads, tagines, and homemade bread, served with local hospitality.
Afternoon Walk & Scenic Return
After lunch, continue exploring the surrounding villages before meeting your driver for the return trip. Enjoy final views of the High Atlas Mountains as you descend back toward Marrakech.
Return to Marrakech
Arrive back in the city around 6:00 PM, ending your full-day excursion in the Atlas Mountains.
